Lars Rensmann is a professor of political science and comparative government at the University of Passau. His research focuses on crises of democracy, authoritarian populism, the radical right, nationalism, antisemitism, global political theory, and global politics and sports. Before joining Passau, professor Rensmann was the Chair of European Politics and Society and co-founder of the Centre for the Study of Democratic Cultures and Politics at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. His book publications include The Politics of Unreason (SUNY Press), Gaming the World (Princeton University Press, with Andrei S. Markovits), and Arendt and Adorno (Stanford University Press, with Samir Gandesha).
