Kurt Squire is a professor of Informatics and a Reesearcher in the Connected Learning Lab at the University of California - Irvine. Squire’s research is in the design of participatory learning environments. He is the author of Video Games and Learning, as well as over 100 scholarly publications ranging from video game analysis to design research. Squire is the former Director of the Games + Learning + Society Center, where he developed 17 games for learning used widely across the world.
