Professor Mia Lindgren (PhD) is director of research strategy at the University of Tasmania, in Hobart. Her research in media and communication studies examines forms of journalism and storytelling, with attention to podcast journalism, radio, and health communication. Her practice-based research involves experimentation with journalistic formats and storytelling approaches, for example using constructive journalism in production of podcasts and other media platforms. Her recent projects examine the intersection between journalism and public health, in the areas of antibiotic resistance, mental health and asbestos risks. Mia Lindgren is co-editor of the Routledge Companion to Radio and Podcast Studies (2022).
