Monika Palmberger is a research fellow at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology, University of Vienna, and at the Interculturalism, Migration and Minorities Research Centre, University of Leuven. She is PI of the research project “REFUGEeICT—Multi-local Care and the Use of Information and Communication Technologies Among Refugees” funded by the Austrian Science Fund. Her work focuses on digital anthropology/ethnography, (forced) migration, memory, and generation. She is author/editor of three books and numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals (including Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, Focaal, Space and Polity, Identities,and International Journal of Comparative Sociology).
