Rita Ochoa is an assistant professor at University of Beira Interior, Portugal, where she teaches design studio in the MSc in architecture.
Coordinator of the research line territory and society at the Research Centre for Architecture, Urbanism and Design of the University of Beira Interior. She has participated in international funded projects and networks in the fields of art and public space, port cities and waterfronts, urban regeneration, and collaborative approaches in architecture education. Her work has emphasised interdisciplinarity, and more recently has focused on temporary uses and sharing practices as a design tool, by co-coordinating the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) exploratory project Intermittent City.
