Editorial Board Members

Nelson Coelho is an assistant professor (adjunkt) with the Centre for Blue Governance at Aalborg University. He defended a PhD thesis entitled Unilateral Port State Jurisdiction at Utrecht University, where he was affiliated with the Netherlands Institute for the Law of the Sea.

While a doctoral candidate, he was a research intern at the International Maritime Organization and a visiting scholar at the World Maritime University. His alma mater is the University of Coimbra, where he graduated in law (LL.B., LL.M.) and international relations (BA, PGCert). As an undergrad, he studied at Paris-Panthéon-Assas University under the Erasmus student exchange program. Nelson is co-editor of the blog De Maribus.
