Meg Samuelson is an associate professor in the Department of English, Creative Writing, and Film at the University of Adelaide, Australia, and an associate professor extraordinary at Stellenbosch University, South Africa.

Meg works primarily with literature, photography, and other cultural texts and she has published widely in african, australasian, and indian ocean studies. Her current research interests span the oceanic and/or hydro humanities, with a particular focus on the global South and the southern hemisphere as well as on coastal regions.
