Editorial Board Members

Cathal O’Mahony is a research scientist with over twenty years’ experience in a combination of research and research support roles dedicated to the sustainability of coastal and marine systems. Based in the MaREI Centre – University College Cork, a national centre of research excellence for energy, climate, and marine, Cathal’s research focus covers coastal management, marine planning, climate adaptation, conservation, and governance and participatory decision-making. He has collaborated as partner and lead scientist in a number of multi-partner and transnational initiatives. Cathal is currently a delegate on the European Marine Board, an internationally recognised forum of experts who collaborate on measures to support science-policy integration, scientific literacy, and citizen engagement.
