Carolin (Line) Liss is the programme director of the MA programmes of diplomacy and global governance and global security and strategy, and an assistant professor in international affairs at the Brussels School of Governance (BSoG-VUB). She received her PhD in politics and Asian studies from Murdoch University, Perth, Australia.
Her research focuses on maritime security, the privatization of security, and non-traditional security threats (including piracy, kidnappings, terrorism, and transnational criminal activities).
