Editorial Board Members

Anja Menzel is a senior researcher at the University of Bamberg, Germany. She holds a PhD from the University of Greifswald, Germany, and is a Fellow of the Bavarian Academic Alliance for Peace, Conflict and Security Research.

Anja specialises in ocean governance, particularly the combat of maritime piracy. Her current research projects explore the nexus between maritime security and sustainability, and the role of development finance for the blue economy. Her latest co-edited book is Global Challenges in Maritime Security: Sustainability and the Sea (2024).
