Michael J. Struett

He is an expert in the politics of international law and international organizations. In 2013, Struett published Maritime Piracy and the Construction of Global Governance co-edited with Mark Nance and Jon Carlson. He has also written extensively about the International Criminal Court and the politics of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.
He completed his PhD in 2005 at the University of California, Irvine. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science from UC Berkeley and master’s degree from George Washington University’s Elliot School of International Affairs.
