Anna‐Sophie Heinze is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Trier, Germany. Her research focuses on political parties, democracy, populism and the radical right. She has authored a book on party responses towards the AfD (Nomos, 2020) and published in journals such as West European Politics, European Political Science Review, Politics and Governance, and German Politics. She is steering committee member of the Standing Group on Political Parties of the German Political Science Association.
