Editorial Board Members

Matthijs Bogaards is currently a visiting professor in the Department of Political Science at the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. Before, he was full professor of Political Science at Jacobs University Bremen, Germany. He has also taught at universities in Costa Rica, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. Matthijs Bogaards graduated with two MA degrees from Leiden University, the Netherlands, and earned his PhD in Political Science from the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. He has published widely on political institutions in comparative perspective and on the challenges of democracy in divided societies.
