Aija Lulle is a lecturer in Human Geography at Loughborough University, UK. Until 2018 she was a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Sussex (UK) and at the University of Eastern Finland. Lulle was the founder-director of the Centre for Diaspora and Migration Research, University of Latvia (2014-2015). Her current interests are related to youth mobilities, ageing and migration as well as lives of transnational families, especially through broader notion of identities. She has published widely, and her contributions include books, journal papers, book chapters and regular contribution of opinion articles and blogs for wider society. She is also active public engagement with stakeholders and governments who want to improve lives of migrants and ‘locals’ alike.
