Juliet Carpenter is a research fellow at the Global Centre on Healthcare and Urbanisation, Oxford University, working at the interface of debates within urban planning, geography, political science and urban sociology. Her principal research interests include urban regeneration, community engagement in urban planning, the concept of co-creation, and broad notions of urban social sustainability. Methodologically, she has been exploring the role of arts-based methods in urban planning research and practice, in particular the method of photovoice. She has published extensively, most recently co-editing the volume “Co-Creation in Theory and Practice: Exploring Creativity in the Global North and South” (2020, Policy Press).
