Dr Maciej Tarkowski is an economic geographer and an adjunct at the Institute of Socio-Economic Geography and Spatial Management at the University of Gdańsk. Research interests: Theories of local and regional development and their applications in the study of the geographical dimension of sustainability transitions. In his empirical research, he focuses on issues such as regional and local policies for sustainability, sustainable urban mobility, transit-oriented development and transitions in the maritime economy.
