David Adams is Lecturer in Urban Planning at the University of Birmingham. Research interests: contested nature of land use and decision making in city spaces, theories of urban change, British post-Second World War reconstruction and recent decades of the city centre regeneration and how they are incorporated into the official decision-making and placemaking; delivering innovative responses to environmental challenges through design interventions, such as community gardening practices and scalable urban food systems.
