Daniel O’Hare is Associate Professor of Urban Planning and has held multiple academic leadership roles at Bond University, Australia. He holds a PhD and MA in Urban Design from Oxford Brookes University (UK) and a Bachelor of Town Planning from UNSW. He previously coordinated the postgraduate Urban Design program at Queensland University of Technology, where he co-led major funded research projects. Long-term research interests include a cultural landscape approach to urban design, the transformation of coastal tourism areas into sustainable city regions, urban design for walkable cities, the planning of transborder city regions, and the relationship between regional planning and urban design.
